What Are DTF Transfers?
Direct to film (DTF) printing puts your design onto a PET transfer film using water-based pigment inks, then coats it with a hot melt adhesive powder that is cured before shipping. The result is a ready-to-press transfer you apply with a heat press in seconds. Unlike screen printing, there are no screens, no color limits, and no minimum quantities. Unlike sublimation, DTF works on cotton, dark fabrics, and blends, not just white polyester. And unlike HTV, there is no weeding; the transfer arrives ready to go.

How to Apply DTF Transfers
Press at 300 to 325°F for 10 to 15 seconds with medium-firm pressure, peel cold, then re-press for 5 to 10 seconds with a finishing sheet for maximum wash durability. A standard heat press gives the best results, though a household iron works for small designs in a pinch. Properly pressed transfers survive 50+ wash cycles without cracking, peeling, or fading.
